The Monash LSS ran a Disability in the Law Panel & Networking Night, run in collaboration with the Disabled Australian Lawyers’ Association (‘DALA’) and proudly sponsored by Russell Kennedy.
Panellists included Marcus Heath (Russell Kennedy), Sam Jackson (Sparke Helmore Lawyers), Georgia Mort (AFL Kordos Lawyers) and Sonia Sawant (Victoria Legal Aid). They bring with them a wealth of knowledge, coming from their own lived experience with a disability, chronic illness or other impairment, and in relation to the various pathways they have taken with their law degrees. Following the panel, there was a networking portion to the event, run in conjunction with DALA.
