Leadership
Aligned with DALA's vision to achieve equity of participation for disabled legal professionals in Australia, DALA champions and advocates for greater representation of disabled legal professionals in the workforce, including in leadership roles. By identifying and raising awareness about the discriminatory impacts of systemic accessibility issues, DALA hopes to assist the legal profession on its journey towards being more inclusive and accessible for disabled legal professionals.
In collaboration with sector partners, DALA aims to assist in the creation of fairer, equitable and transparent workplace policies.
DALA continues to be consulted by a number of law firms, legal organisations and courts in relation to accessibility practices and policies, including workplace adjustments policies. DALA has been able to make a marked contribution in this space by providing a unique perspective that is influenced by lived experience of disabled legal professionals.
DALA will continue to strive towards its vision and hopes to see continued participation and advancement of disabled legal professionals in the legal industry.
